Abstract

Edge computing has emerged as a promising solution for real-time data processing, enabling faster decision-making by bringing computation closer to the data source. This research explores the challenges and future directions of edge computing in real-time data processing. The study examines key issues such as latency, security, scalability, and resource management in edge computing environments. It also investigates how edge computing can address the growing demand for processing large volumes of data generated by Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The research employs a comprehensive review of existing literature and case studies to identify emerging trends and technological advancements in edge computing. The findings highlight the potential of edge computing to optimize real-time data processing, but also reveal significant challenges that need to be addressed for its widespread adoption. The study concludes with recommendations for future research and development, focusing on overcoming the identified challenges to fully realize the benefits of edge computing in various industries.
